Recently I had the pleasure of visiting a small wholesale business in Southern Ohio that grows annuals and perennials. They also sell poinsettias and Christmas cactuses during the Christmas holidays. I would consider them a successful business considering they are seasonal. For four months of the year they ship 30 truckloads a day. During the remaining eight months they are literally “growing” their inventory. What I found amazing is that everything they do is documented on paper!

Done properly, it allows an analyst to form conclusions with data that is not presented in an orderly format. Without the ability to sort through the information to arrive at meaningful analysis, discovery will not happen.
